This Shipping Policy outlines how orders from Art by Douglas Carr are fulfilled, shipped, and delivered. All purchases are made through Douglas Carr Photography (Org. nr 935 610 001), trading as Art by Douglas Carr Photography, and are subject to our Terms & Conditions and Norwegian consumer protection law.

1. Shipping Partner & Fulfilment

All print orders are custom made and framed to your personal order specifications once your order has been placed. Specifications such as size, product medium and finish choice between fine art paper, aluminium or aluminium with a frame are produced by our printing partner LabKorner and delivered to the ground floor of your delivery address by DHL international couriers. Special orders to Oslo local collectors only could be printed locally by Fotopapir AS using certified archival materials and professionally framed with UV protected museum quality glass and can be picked up from Kaffe og Kunst. Framing options and prices will be discussed and quoted for as they are made to the client's request of framing and mounting options. This ensures efficient delivery and excellent print quality.

2. Shipping Costs

All orders other than special Oslo local orders are shipped worldwide by DHL. See shipping country list zone, cost and estimated delivery time here.

Here’s the metal-print shipping summary for your policy. All amounts are in NOK, charged per print, because each metal print is shipped individually.

• Small Format, metal only, 35 × 35, 15 × 45 and 30 × 45 cm: International 200 NOK; USA 450 NOK.
• Large Format, metal only or with Shadow Box Frame, 60 × 60 and 60 × 90 cm: International 450 NOK; USA 850 NOK.
• Giant Format, metal only or with Shadow Box Frame, 100 × 100 and 100 × 150 cm: International 700 NOK; USA 1,100 NOK.
• Collector Format, metal only or with Shadow Box Frame, 120 × 120, 120 × 150 and 120 × 180 cm: International 1,000 NOK; USA 1,100 NOK.

*DHL Home delivery only delivers to the ground floor.

3. Estimated Delivery Times

Delivery typically takes 7–25 days, depending on your location. See location zones here. These are estimated timeframes and not guaranteed. Delivery times may be affected by weekends, public holidays, customs clearance, or seasonal demand (e.g., Christmas).

You will receive a tracking link via email once your artwork has been dispatched. This link will provide the latest delivery estimate from our shipping partner.

Special orders that include framing to Oslo local collectors will be given once an order has been confirmed and payment received.

4. Tracking & Delivery

Once your order has been printed and dispatched, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information. This email may be sent via our print partner's logistics system and appear under the sender name "Art Prints." Be sure to check your spam/junk folder.

5. Unclaimed or Returned Packages

All artworks sold by Douglas Carr Photography are limited edition prints custom-made to each individual collector's request and according to Norwegian law (Angrerettloven § 22(e)) are exempt from the right of return.

If a customer fails to be home at the time of delivery and does not collect the package from the DHL warehouse, it will be returned to our printing partner and the order will not be refunded. The customer may be held responsible for any additional shipping or handling fees incurred as a result of the unclaimed delivery.

If you're unable to collect your package, please contact DHL with your tracking information as soon as possible to arrange redelivery or pickup.

6. Damaged or Lost Orders

If your package arrives damaged, please take photographs of the box and ensure the DHL delivery person makes a note of it before you sign for the delivery. If your order does not arrive within 21 days after dispatch, please contact Art by Douglas Carr as soon as possible.

Include:

• Your order number
• A description (and photo, if applicable) of any damage
• The tracking number

We will investigate with our print and courier partners and do our best to resolve the issue promptly.
